Toro Snowblowers

Toro makes snow blowers of all shapes and sizes, but is best known for their smaller electric models. They also make a number of a good midrange gas-powered blowers. The company is well-respected in the power equipment industry, and a snowblower from them will last many winters.

Toro Power Shovel

This is Toro's smallest snow thrower. It's suited for the smallest of jobs, but is very popular. Only weighing 17 pounds, it has a cut depth of six inches and can easily be hung up for storage. The Toro Power Shovel's best feature in my opinion is its ability to convert into a power broom for year-round use. Though I have a full-size blower, I keep one of these in my shed to clear the deck.

Toro 1800

This electric snow thrower is one of the bestselling models. At only 24 pounds, it's easy for anyone to use, but best kept away from big tasks. I recommend it for use in areas that receive light to moderate snowfall and for removing snow from smaller driveways, decks, and walkways. Because it's so small, you won't even notice it in your garage or shed. The Toro 1800 has a 12-inch cut depth.
